Redmi vs Realme in 2023 – Clear Answer!

realme vs redmi We have three phones the latest one from realme realme 10 Pro Plus and the latest phones from xiaomi redmi note 12 Pro Plus and redmi note 12 Pro and just one year ago in 2021 you would get a good budget phone for around 20 000. the realme 8 Pro or the redmi Note 10 Pro Max both launched at that same price.

Sad I wish we had those days back because as of 2023 if you want realme vs redmi a good budget phone you will have to buy a phone for around 20 22 000. like redmi note was a budget series and the Pro Plus variant lost for about 29 triple line and then we also have the redmi note 12 Pro Series which costs 24 triples so now the question is.

realme vs redmi

If you want a good budget 5G phone which of these three phones you should buy and the answer to that is redmi note 12 Pro for most people how ever there are some important realme vs redmi things you should know stay tuned till the end of the video let’s go so both the phones have similar unboxing experience and we have already given our first impression on both the phones so you can check that out over here and to make things.

Simple for you guys will be leaving one point to each phone for every category okay so first up when you pick the phone in your hands both phones are different like redmi has a flat display but you get a curved display on the real me and definitely realme looks more premium realme vs redmi but there is a catch here we called both redmi and realme Service Center and requested a screen replacement so in simple words real me screen replacement cost 8500 rupees redmi screen replacement costs 6500 rupees so you see.

It will cost 2000 more to replace the curved screen of real me and you would be like realme vs redmi how does that matter well it does because.

number one

It is very hard to get tempered glass for a curved screen.

number two

You don’t get Gorilla glass protection with real me it is some double en forced glass protection but with red knee you do get Gorilla Glass 5 protection and even see here side by side with redmi the real me is 36 grams lighter so the in hand feel of real me is much better also redmi has a realme vs redmi side mounted fingerprint scanner real meas an in-display fingerprint scanner it looks more premium overall I would still give the point for build quality to realme.

Because a curved display at this price range has never been seen before and it is a big deal that deadly branding of realme seems Justified here thank God it’s only in the Box coming to the realme vs redmi display quality both havean AMOLED display and a 120 hertz refresh rate how ever I’ll give the point to redmi here two reasons on YouTube will support HDR but.

If you go to Netflix see on realme there is no HDR support while on the redmi you get HDR10 plus Dol by support So watching movies on the redmi is a better experience if you have a top tier Netflix number two and here’s a funny thing like if you see on the redmi says it has Max 900 nits of realme vs redmi brightness but when we checked with our device it goes up to 1300 nits and you get the same exact display on redmi Note 12 Pro so point to it coming to Performance both.

The phones have the latest Diamond City 1080 process or soday-to-day activities like browsing the web social media and all everything is smooth no lag but there is something interesting here realme vs redmi on the redmi 10 Pro Plus and the redmi note 12 Pro if I play 4K YouTube videos there is a bit of Jitter but if I play the same 4K video on the redmi Note 12 Pro Plus there is no Jitter maybe because the redmi note12 Pro Plus has an extra 2GB Ram.

It is nothing major because most of us watch YouTube videos in 1080P and for the past one to two weeks we have played games on them Apex Legends Call of Duty both the phones are similar in terms of performance so one point each to both of them so now we are out here to test the realme vs redmi camera in Practical condition so the realme 10 Pro Plus has 108 megapixel camera the redmi note 12 Pro check.

realme vs redmi complete features review

It we have three phones over here and I’ll tell you clearly which one you should buy for camera so out doors in normal condition all three phone takes good pictures the real me takes slightly boosted photos and the redmi takes slightly contrasty photos both the redmi phones are pretty realme vs redmi similar okay see this picture realme has brightened my face.

Whereas redmi stays close to Natural like if you zoom in on this picture all three pictures are good but I prefer the redmi 12 Pro and it is very close to natural and no human subjects like this flower all the phones take pretty nice shots see the natural blur in the background looks so realme vs redmi good but the 200 megapixel on the redmi Note 12 pro has one advantage if you click in 200 megapixel mode the difference between 200 megapixel and 100 megapixel is mind-blowing like redmi still has a lot of details like look at my sweater.

It is so sharp even in low light conditions see the redmi 4 takes better low light shots like look at the AC on the right see it has more details and more light now all the three phones have 16 megapixel selfie camera and here real metakes slightly better selfies I prefer the selfie on the realme 10 Pro us but I’ll give the camera point to redmi because even if you skip the 200 megapixel camera realme vs redmi because everyone takes photo in default.

The base redmi note 12 pro has really good camera it takes close to Natural photos whereas realme is slightly boosted and that lack of ois shows in low light photos coming to the software both these phones are slightly different realme 10 Pro Plus has the realme UI 4.0 skin based on Android 13 while the redmi note 12 Pro Plus has the MIUI 13 skin based on Android 12. and both have their realme vs redmi own unique features for instance in realme UI.

If you’re listening to YouTube music it shows up here and if you press and hold a pop-up opens and you can change the track pretty cool then here with me where you can set a gesture to just double tap the fingerprint sensor to open Torch and double tap close it but then realme UI has a lot of ads like every time you install an app you get this app recommendation yes they don’t show as of now realme vs redmi but there is still room for improvement.

how ever all these bloat ware apps can be uninstalled and I will still give this point to realme here for one major reason out of this box realme 10 Pro Plus comes with Android 13 where as the redmi note 12 Pro Plus comes with Android 12. now yes xiaomi has provided to give the Android13 update realme vs redmi very soon but that doesn’t solve one problem.

This means the real me 10 Pro Plus will get to Android 15 whereas the redmi note 12 Pro Plus will only get to Android 14. so far it’s a tie but let’s talk about some extra features realme has 8 5G bands redmi has 10 5 gigabytes and if you see with my jio sim both phones have almost the same 5G speed also taking calls and everything is just fine on both and you get a 5000 mAh battery realme vs redmi on realme 10 Pro Plus and a4980mah battery on redmi 12 Pro Plus but.

Here is something interesting see the realme comes with an 80 watt charger but the phone supports a maximum of 67 watt it can go from 0 to 100 in about 45 to50 minutes but the redmi note 12 Pro comes with a 120 watt charger and it can even charge at that speed so you can go from 0 to 100 in about 20 to 25 min it so I’ll get the point for extra features to read me and I know you will be like realme vs redmi pratik the redmi note 12 Pro Plus is expensive true.

You do get 67 watt charging with the regular redmi note 12 Pro how ever you get an IR blaster and my favorite the headphone jack on both the redmi phones so 0.2 in me so the final scores are realme 3 redmi 4 but that doesn’t mean realme 10 Pro Plus is a bad phone I mean the curved realme vs redmi display does look damn good and if you value that one year of extra Android updates then you can definitely consider realme 10 Pro Plus it is currently selling for around 25 000 rupees.

How ever at that price I would strongly recommend getting the redmi note 12 Pro if you see here on Flipkart there is a 3000 Bank offer which brings the effective price down to 21 triple nine and it has a better display a better camera and a headphone jack and then redmi note 12 Pro Plus see it realme vs redmi cost three to four thousand more than the pro and frankly that extra money doesn’t seem very Justified to me it is over priced.

They could have had a 128gb version and priced it around 27 triple nine but sadly it is not so only if the price comes down or if you have Bank offers and you can get this for 25 000 then realme vs redmi only you can consider it but for most people redmi Note 5 Pro on that note this is pretty signing off.

Samsung vs Xiaomi vs Realme vs Oppo vs Vivo | Reasons to BUY | Which is the BEST ? Brands Compared

Comparing Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, Realme and Xiaomi. So, in this blog, I am going to do the same and will talk about these 5 smartphone brands. Without getting into too much detail, I as sure you to tell just enough so you can decide when & why should you buy their phones & what you can expect from phones of these brands. I request you all to stay at home as long as possible and try realme vs redmi to do your work from your home as far as possible. These are difficult times and we have to end the 2nd wave of Covid-19 together.

Let’s get started. As most of you must be knowing that Samsung has been in India and as far as I remember, Samsung launched its first phone in 2005-06 and since then, Samsung’s mobile industry is present in India. Earlier, they had “Feature Phones” by the realme vs redmi name of “Samsung GURU” & as time went by, Samsung also launched its smartphones & some with Android as well. Today, you know that how big Samsung is and it is currently the 2nd highest selling smartphone company.

When Samsung first started taking smartphone business in India seriously, their main focus was on selling the Flagship Smartphones like their S-series smartphones including Galaxy S, S1, S2 etc. These S series phones gave a true flagship experience. They were the most expensive realme vs redmi Android smartphones and not only expensive but they had new features and with each generation, Samsung used to try different things.

Other than the S-series, Samsung’s NOTE series is also a flagship and if we talk about 2011-12, there were very few phones that were Android-based and also budget-friendly, which means at around ₹10,000 or ₹15,000.So Samsung was mainly concentrated on flagship devices realme vs redmi only and even today, you will notice that their flagship phones offer better value than their mid-range smartphones. Although, now since Samsung has launched M-series phones,

like M31, M21 and M51 all of which comes between ₹15k to ₹25 kare now much better as per Samsung’s standards. But if you go back 3-4 years, when they came with J-series & On-series phones, they used to be really poor mid-range phones and nobody really wanted to buy them realme vs redmi except those die-hard Samsung fans because as I already said that since its a very old brand, has a lot of trust in the market and an impressive service,

Especially if we talk about 4-5 years back. This was because, though Chinese companies had excellent smartphones, their after-sales service was poor & it came under the scanner. The Indian brands were also struggling a lot at that time and even their after-sales service was not something to realme vs redmi trust. So basically what all this meant was that Samsung, due to its trust & good service back then, sold a lot of phones and remained at No. 1 position for a long time until Xiaomi took over its position in 2017.

The most astonishing thing about Samsung has been that it has promoted its phones in offline as well as online markets and it hasn’t let the availability of phones be an issue. This happened with Chinese phones quite often as their phones were available online but not available realme vs redmi offline at all,or they were sold at high prices and that too in very less quantity. This, for me was a very big limitation because when the Chinese brands sold their phones online,

The rural areas couldn’t get those good smartphones. This was all about Samsung, let’s now come to Oppo. Before talking about Oppo, I would like to tell you that Oppo, One Plus, Realme & Vivo – all these 4 brands are basically a single company, and that is BBK Electronics Corporation. BBK Electronics is a very big company of China, and it is the Parent company of these 4 brands. So, you can simply consider all these 4 brands as a single entity.

And if we add up the sales numbers of these 4 brands, then it will be the biggest realme vs redmi smartphone seller in India. So, first up I will talk about Oppo, which is the first company from BBK to manufacture smartphones. Now, we will not go deep into Oppo’s history, instead will tell you about what different does Oppo provides us and why people are attracted to it. So according to my understanding, & if you too notice Oppo’s products closely,

Then you’ll realize that Oppo provides a lot of new & experimental features. These phones come at a high price since these features are flagship and usually you won’t see these realme vs redmi features in other smartphones of the time. Therefore, you may find Oppo’s phones a bit over priced.

For example,

Oppo’s Reno series phones were the first to come with a Slider mechanism camera for which they did a lot of research and it was a pretty new feature when it was launched in India. And you realme vs redmi must have noticed that with each generation, the Reno series phones definitely come with an innovative feature that you wouldn’t have seen anywhere else.

That’s why according to me, Oppo is a brand that does research-based work &it doesn’t copy any other brand and believes in bringing & testing new experimental features in the market. It’s not that Oppo doesn’t manufacture mid-range phones but if you see overall, their budget phones do realme vs redmi not provide as much valueas compared to some other companies.

That’s why they do not even sell that much but still, the reason why Oppo manufactures these mid-range phones is because Oppo’s offline presence is tremendous. Any person who lives in rural areas, or for some reason, do not have trust in buying online will obviously go to the nearest offline shop. And when he goes there,he/she gets an Oppo phone easily. Apart from this, Oppo had been criticized 3-4 years back because at that time they came with “Selfie phones” only and there was a time.

When Oppo talked only about cameras in their phones & even had their tag line as “Camera Phone”,reminding that they only focused on Camera. They launched these with really poor processors and just gave a good Selfie camera. So that was a time when Oppo faced a lot of realme vs redmi criticism, also because they gave a lot of commission to the shopkeepers of offline market & that’s why the shopkeepers insisted on Oppo phones extensively.

This strategy was not appreciated by anyone, even people like us from the Tech world and hence, Oppo was heavily criticized. But, today we see that Oppo has improved a lot, and even today, their phones are sold a lot in offline market. After Oppo, let’s now come to its other sibling, Vivo. realme vs redmi Just like Oppo, Vivo also has largely followed a similar pattern. They also have done quite a bit of researchand Vivo believes in bringing new features.

The only difference being, that while Oppo’s budget and mid-range phones are not so impressive, Vivo’s phones, surprisingly, have been quite good and value for money since the last 2-3 years. But realme vs redmi then again, according to me, Vivo’s main business is research based as you would’ve seen recently in X50 Pro,that for the first time in the World, a smartphone’s camera has that type of Gimbal stabilization which was not seen in any other smartphone.

competition between oppo vivo realme redme

When Vivo started, they also focused more on Camera & Music related features Like Oppo, Vivo worked on Camera at the same time when Oppo was also upping its “Selfie game”. Both these brands focused only on Selfie Cameras and came with extremely poor processors which were not at all a value for money proposition. But again, if we talk about today, then Vivo is a well established realme vs redmi brand & it has seen a lot of success through its mid-range phones like Vivo Z1 Pro, and their U-series phones were also big hits.

In the end, I would say that Vivo has a focus on introducing new & experimental features for which they charge a high premium price and just like Oppo, they also have a good offline presence. You won’t find any difficulty in getting a Vivo phone, and that’s why they are successful. Now let’s come to the third sibling, Realme.

Realme’s trajectory has been quite different to that of Oppo and Vivo. Its focus has, right from the start, has been to end Xiaomi’s monopoly. Even their first smartphone, Realme 1, was launched realme vs redmi to challenge Xiaomi’s best phones at that time & it gave them a tough fight. Since then, we have been observing that at each price point at which Xiaomi launched its phones, Realme launched its phones that were equally good at that price.

From that point on wards, especially under ₹20k, we see that sometimes Xiaomi is ahead and sometimes Realme goes ahead. And again when Xiaomi’s Poco takes the lead, again Realme comes out on top. So this race between Xiaomi & Realme continues…One interesting point about Realme is that when ever Oppo or Vivo’s phones come up with a new feature, that is experimental, realme vs redmi and at a much higher price point, then after 6-7 months, and sometimes just after 3-4 months, Realme comes with such a feature at a low price such that the value for money quotient of Realme phons increases a lot.

You can also get a lot of practical examples, I remember when Realme 1, that was launched with Mediatek Helio P60 processor started at ₹9,000 only. At the same time, Oppo had a similar phone with similar specifications and the same processor came at ₹25,000. This tells us that Realme comes with the latest features of Oppo & Vivo within 3-4 months at a lower price. Realme’s theory has been realme vs redmi that it launches phones that are very practical, you won’t find any fancy feature in their phones, nor you’ll find a very new design or features like a slider camera ora pop-up camera.

But the one thing Realme does a lot better is that it brings a very good value for money phone and just like Xiaomi, Realme also focuses more on Online presence. It now comes with other products as well, but we’ll not talk about it here. So, you’ll find Realme phones much more on online realme vs redmi websites but it lags behind in offline markets. So what happens overall is that, where Realme phones which are not available offline, the phones with same features from Vivo & Oppo are found by customers in local shops, and they end up buying those at a higher price.

Now you can understand that how these 3 companies, Vivo, Oppo & Realme together manage to do so much business. One brand sells online and the other two brands offer expensive features & they focus on offline more than online which earns them a decent amount. So we talked realme vs redmi about Oppo, Vivo & Realme, & now we’ll talk about the last one, that is Xiaomi. What can I tell about Xiaomi, you know that this is the brand that when it entered the Indian market in 2014,

It was exceptional as phones like Redmi 1s and Mi 3 were best-sellers and at one instant, they even managed to crash Flipkart’s website because of their high sales. But today, Xiaomi’s focus has shifted in launching various brands as you can see that phones up to ₹15k are sold by realme vs redmi Redmi’s name and it’s become a kind of sub-brand. Above this, at about ₹18k-20k price, or Xiaomi’s flagship phones are sold under the Mi brand or series and they also launched a sub-brand in 2018 called Poco.

Poco also brings very good features at a very low price and it is also an online focused brand. Even if you see Xiaomi as a whole, then their Redmi & Poco phones are visible more on online stores but the Mi phones are available both online and offline. One thing about Xiaomi that has realme vs redmi remained constant is that they do not usually have segment-first features or any experimental feature, though they have tried somelike recently the 108 MP camera phones have been launched first by Xiaomi itself.

Before that, the Poco X2 with its 120 Hz display at ₹20,000 was also first launched by Xiaomi, so they have tried a bit but you can say that Xiaomi hasn’t tried to innovate like what Oppo & Vivo have. Just like Realme, Xiaomi also focuses more on practical phones at a reasonable price. Most of their phones offer good value and that’s whyfor so many years, Xiaomi has come out on top if we talk about sales numbers in India and Xiaomi was that company which could even beat Samsung.

That was all about all the brands, let us now come to Verdict. There isn’t much to say in verdict as I have already mentioned most things, but if I conclude about each brand in one sentence, then for Samsung, I would say that only those people buy their phones who concentrate on the brand “Samsung” and all they NEED is Samsung, only then they go after it,or when people have to buy a flagship, they see Samsung.

People who are die-hard fans of Samsung or want a proper flagship phone should go for Samsung For Oppo, those who trust offline and do not wish to buy online, they don’t have many options, but to go for Oppo. Oppo phones are not bad, but yes if you want a very stylish phone, or a design-focused phone, and which has some experimental features, then you can go with Oppo. Their Reno series phones are stylish, good looking and also have new innovative features.

Same is the case with Vivo, if you want features that are exclusive to Vivo, like I told you about Gimbal stabilization in X50 Pro & X60 Pro that are offered by Vivo only at this point of time. There isn’t much difference between Oppo & Vivo, if you buy offline, then other than Samsung, only Oppo & Vivo are good brands available. Next comes Realme which is a very interesting case. Realme’s strategy is simple, if you want a practical phone, then you’ll like Realme phones like me.

I don’t care much about design and I like practical features & focus more on value for money quotient. In that case, you will also find Realme phones quite good. Yes, they don’t boast of an extraordinary design, have no experimental features that can give you a “new” or innovative experience or make you stand out in a crowd. You’ll find those in Oppo & Vivo. What you get with Realme is the peace of mind, and that the new features from Opp/Vivo arrive after 4-5 months.

So, if you can wait for some time or don’t wish to spend a lot of money, then Realme can prove to be a good brand. At last, we come to Xiaomi and as I have told clearly, that Xiaomi’s Redmi & Poco phones offer very good value for money though, they have some issues like ads, on the Redmi series of phones. But overall, if you see, Xiaomi’s phones offer very good value. It has now a certain reputation and impressive after-sales service, though all these brands provide good service.

That’s why Xiaomi takes its own position andit is also popular because it brought a break through year of 2014 that changed the Indian smartphone market forever and you would’ve understood the motives of these 5 companies and how they all are different. I hope this will help you the next time you buy a phone.
