MONKEYPOX PENDEMIC SPREADOUT THE WORLD 2023 ALARMING SUITATION

monkeypox virus Monkey pox here is data from the state of Washington looking at the total weekly case counts and this goes back to June of 2022 and as you can see here it goes up to as high as a count of 76 in Late July of 2022 and comes down to almost non-existent here as far as we can go here to the week of February 5th 2023.

monkeypox

This is in the state of Washington and the good news is that what’s going on in Washington is actually going on in the rest of the country and even around the world is that monkey pox cases are decreasing and the question is is what happened why did these cases go down and for those of you who want some more information.

I highly recommend going back and watching our monkey pox explained clearly Series where we talk about the virus how it spreads and also the vaccines that were available before and currently available so quick summary is this is a virus that spreads through contact particularly in the genital area in this typical out break and also concentrated in men.

Who have with men we can see here the different areas of the country where this was an issue for instance this very dark County here on the map in the state of Washington is King County where the majority of the cases were as you can see 76.3 percent we can look at the demographics in this sort of situation we can see here that.

The over whelming majority were male and a minority were female only about 2.4 percent of cases you can see here that white was the race that was most commonly seen and you can also see in terms of age where we were seeing most of the symptom on set in the 25 to 34 year old age group we can click on vaccinations and we’ll see here that in the state of Washington almost north of 30 000 cumulative relative doses of vaccines.

Were given but I’m curious as to exactly what it was that caused this outbreak to come down there’s the vaccination aspect of it but the amount of vaccinations only being about 30 000 in a huge population some would argue actually might be reduced because there’s a high risk group that may be smaller in population and so the question of whether the vaccines by themselves cause the epidemic to go down is an interesting one.

We saw in covid where we had waves of SARS cov2 infections well before vaccines were available would go up and down on their own almost as if it was more behavior modification that seemed to be the primary factor so as cases were going up people would make modifications they would not go out as much or they would be more careful in terms of what they were doing and one has to wonder whether or not this is what happened.

There was an interesting article published in the New York Times titled what happened to Monkey pox and why cases suddenly began to decline there’s a number of theories that they look at it was in October or November of 2022 and you can clearly see the daily average monkey pucks cases the United States were on the decline their theories are interesting.

They say that four factors explain monkey pox’s decline first vaccines help slow the virus spread certainly that could possibly be it but I don’t think that explains all of it second they say gay and reduced activities such as with multiple partners that spread the virus more quickly the third reason is pride month effect and they say that beyond.

Brazilthousands of cases
Canada150
Colombia400
France500
Germany500
Mexico350
Peru300 to 400
Spain1200
United Kingdom400
United States of America3,000
Pakistan150

The parades and rallies some parties and other festivities involve casual which of monkeypox course through contacts which happens during that is going to spread the monkey pox virus as the celebrations dwindled so did the increased potential for monkey pox to spread and finally the virus simply burned out monkey pox mainly spreads through close contact making it hard to transmit than apathogen that is primarily Air borne like Coronavirus here you can see the data on the CDC website looking at U.S.

Monkey pox case Trends reported and you can see it’s almost non-existent monkeypox fortunately if we want to look on a global scale we can go to the who website which calls it mpox and paren theses monkey pox for 2022 you can see here that there are over 85000 monkeypox confirmed cases globally 93 deaths and 110 countries reporting cases so if we scroll down here.

We can see the global situation the peak was in the summer of 2022 just before monkeypox August and weare now down to a very low level although there does seem to be a little bit there at the bottom with the different colors denoting the different regions so you can see that most of this is in the region of the Americas if we look at deaths again most of this appears to be in the African and specifically.

The region of the Americas that would be here in the United States Mexico Canada and South America as well the African region these are not to scale so this is a scale of 200 in the African region Eastern Mediterranean scale of 10 European a scale of 2 000 region of the Americas four thousand which is where the majority of the cases have been and.

Then we have the South East Asia region with a scale of six and the Western Pacific region with a scale of 20. there’s other things we can look at here in terms of deaths not many deaths in the African region not many at all in the Eastern Mediterranean region two in the European up to eight and several more here in the region of the Americas and then only one in the South Asian so.

We can see here that the majority of the outbreak was the region of the Americas which is a large populace region if we look at the top 10 countries here we see Brazil with a scale here of up to a thousand Canada with 150 at its peak Colombia with 400 France with 500 monkeypox Germany with about 500. Mexico with about 350 Peru with about three to four hundred Spain 1200 the United Kingdom 400 and the United States of America about three thousand.

If we look at Global cases once more we can see however that the trend is on the way down and of course we’ll put a link to this article and also the other articles in this monkeypox blog in the description below if we go to the European Center for disease prevention and control essentially the CDC of Europe they say here empox formerly named Monkey pox so just be aware that if you want to appear to be up to date they have the updates and the global update and then of course.

The risk assessment which I think is important here what is the risk assessment currently in Europe regarding mpox based on the updated risk assessment they say and the declining number of new cases in the European region although they did find some more this week in the balk lands the overall risk of empox infection is assessed as moderate for men.

Who have with men and low for the broader population in the EU countries so it’s possible to get it even not a man who has with men but it’s lower the weekly number of mpox monkeypox cases reported in the EU peaked in July of 2022 and since then a steady declining trend has been observe dreaching a plateau with very low numbers since week 52 that’s at the end of 2022.

Multiple factors have probably contribute to the decline of this and let’s see what they say here Community engagement I think that’s important to understand early on there was a hesitancy to say something about the group that was most at risk for Contracting this but I believe that they honestly spoke about risk factors and the problems with spreading.

monkeypox spread fastly all over the world

This disease they say here that there was increasing immunity probably both from the vaccine and also from natural immunity in those most affected population groups and there was a decrease in the number of large cultural and social events frequented by the main risk groups for this outbreak after the summer and I think that is also really important even in the covid pandemic.

Why we started to see waves coming down even before vaccines were available which tells you that the waves would come and go based on human behavior or the properties of the virus itself I think that actually human behavior had a lot to do with these way is coming down on their own they say options for EU and eea countries to respond to empox cases include raising awareness among.

Health care professionals so I think it’s important that we all be able to recognize what M pox or monkey pox looks like supporting Health Services and continue case detection contact tracing and management of cases continue to offer testing for Ortho pox virus vaccination strategies and continuing risk communication and Community engagement despite.

The decreasing number of cases so we don’t want to be complacent because those numbers are going down we want to be vigilant in terms of picking those cases up so I just monkeypox want to make sure that we did close out that discussion that we’ve had on monkeypox I highly recommend you go back and look at our series on monkey pox explained clearly.

You can see that on that you can get some of which have continuing medical education credits for it to geta full picture of what monkeypox looks like and some of the treatment monkeypox options and vaccine options too and while we do cover things that are emerging we also want to cover things when there is a success and when we see these numbers going down.

Because that is very reassuring of course we will cover it if we start to see any change appreciate your time thanks for joining us leave us a comment about what you think might be the reason why these waves go up and down.

vaccine side effects Virus? Causes, Symptoms & Prevention in Pakistan

This blog is about a matter of concern now that is monkey pops virus so i’ve been getting a request from my website visitor regarding discussion on monkey pox virus what is monkey pox virus uh how monkey pox virusis spreading and should we concerned about monkey box virus at all so all this question will be answered in this blog so stay tuned and read it coming.

What is monkeypox so the very first things first in very simple monkeypox terms i’m going to say whether it’s going to be a matter of concern the answer is yes it can be a matter of concern because this monkey pause virusis endemic to african region there are few african countries where this monkey pox virus is endemic that means it cause infections annually in different places particularly.

It includes nigeria and also it includes ghana so these are the two places where we find near about three thousand to five thousand cases every single year with monkey pox but now this virus is being spreading from african country particularly the central africa and west african region to 12 different other countries and those 12 other countries.

We have more than 100 cases right now and that rise the matter of concern now the first things first first is whatis monkey pox virus see monkey pox virus belong to a family known as foxy viridi foxy vdd family of viruses include small pox virus so you know small pox virus is similar to that of the monkeybox.

It is a dna virus so it has double standard dna as a genetic material okay and this kind of viruses particularly the proximity family viruses they have a reservoir and there servoir here is the primates uh the for example mammals so mammals are particularly the primates are there servoirs and in this case there servoir here is monkey so suspected reservoir is monkeys.

We call it we are calling it monkey pox there are sometimes also suspected reservoir can be dog or other uh animals other vertebrates are also some sort of primates like monkey orchimpanzee like that so that’s why it’s called as a monkey box virus so now we Symptoms are going to talk about monkeypox the symptoms of monkey box virus so what happens in monkey box virus very similar to that ofthe small pox cause blisters in the skin throughout the body in different monkeypox locations along with that.

It has fever along with that it has muscle ache hit it these are the monkeypox common complications that are associated with monkey box virus now what is totally different about monkey box virus than the smallpox is that in monkey pox virus the lymph glands of our body swells up which is known as lymph adenopathy as formedical terms so lymphadenopathy is something.

Which is unique to monkey pox which is not present in case of small box viral infection and when ever the symptoms start to begin generally the fever starts and after three to four days of the fever uh the blisters start coming out and this blisters are ugly and filled with all these viral particles it can spread from person to person at that time frame and that can be really really dangerous.

So Spread that’s why it’s very difficult to find out exactly when it started when now we know that this disease has spread over 12 different countries we can to a normal person even up to 24 weeks yes 24 weeks so this disease is going to be there for 24 weeks although the blisters may gone uh although.

You will be capable of spreading the virus to from you to another healthy person up to 24 weeks now imagine 24 weeks okay so that means six months approximately so long after you get you’re getting cured from this infection you’re still capable of spreading it and that monkeypox makes it really horrible if it starts spreading at a large scale although the spreadability is less because the visibility of the infectionis very high so we can see it from outside so automatically.

We can isolate that person and we can prevent it so isolate isolation and preventive measures can be taken all right so what Precautions should we do now regarding the monkeypox monkeybox virus the answer to that is we need to move cautiously because recently we came out of this aovid and still not completely over yet because new sporadic infections.

This time and also as it’s being spreading into different european countries uh the head of the who from the european uh site they are always being planned and uh to prevent it further so obviously we need to do rigorous screening and particularly anybody coming from africa these endemic places and also the places where the new infection found in all those 12 different.

Countries anyone is troubling their answer coming back we need to do a proper screening and testing to find out if there is any infection of the individual because be endemic to that place.

It should not spread from that place to the other because in those places of the central african western african countries uh generally when this disease is manifested when this is found one outof ten affected individual uh has a higher chance of death so one out of ten so ten percent chance of death uh among the individual incurred the virus so.

We need to understand the 10 death rate is really big and even far more than the aovid 19 itself so so what we need to dowe need to have a proper cautious measure uh when traveling to different international places and also proper screening and everything needed but right now in india we didn’t we don’t need to worry too much about it and but again.

We need to screen people in the airport level and also if anything suspicious found we need to initiate the we need to initiate the isolation and treatment process that should be maintained Cases now the point so here we can clearly see the who received reports of 92 confirmed and 28 suspected monkey box cases from 12 different countries as i am making thev blog on 26th of may 2022 so.

Here you can see the places uh in canada 5 in u.s 5 total 10 and germany also uk france but portugal spain italy sweden and australia so in this european countries just all these monkeypox european countries together 30 in america total american canada 10 and australia five these are the total number of cases right now spreading in particularly they all started some.

Where from the africa particularly center central africa and western african monkeypox places okay this is as of may 23 2022 that’s the report this number may grow up in the upcoming weeks because this is the condition of monkeypox throughout the body the blisters will come up like this okay we can prevent it so that’s all about monkey pox virus.

Monkey pause virus infection and if there is anything new coming about coming out about the monkey power virus we’ll be discussing about share with your friends and colleagues so that they get to know about monkey pop’s virus in details.

what is the Monkeypox virus? SPREAD IN THE WORLD

So far this year more than 25 000 monkeypox cases have been recorded across 88 countries monkey pox is a viral disease first discovered in 1958 originating colonies of monkeys hence the name according to the World Health Organization in 1970 the monkey pox was identified in a nine-month-old boy in the democratic republic of congo a region.
